St. John Paul II stated, “What is needed today is a church, which knows how to respond to the expectations of young people. Jesus wants to enter into dialogue with them and, through his body, which is the church, to propose the possibility of a choice, which will require a commitment of their lives. As Jesus with the disciples of Emmaus, so the church must become the traveling companion of young people…”.
In your role as Youth Minister (YM) or Director of Religious Education (DRE), you are called to accompany the youth on their faith journey. To help support that work, the Office of Youth and Young Adult Ministry (OYYAM) is creating new opportunities for you to grow in your role as YM or DRE.
As you work to provide meaningful experiences for the youth of your parish, it is the desire of the OYYAM to accompany you on your journey. We want to provide you with resources, training, and support to help encourage you as you disciple the youth of the Diocese of Fargo.
An area of great struggle for individuals working in the church is to find a retreat or conference to attend for their own spiritual and educational formation.
