New Earth asked 40 people in the Diocese of Fargo to answer any one of three questions about their Lenten experience in 50 words or fewer.

Growing up, we followed traditions throughout the Catholic liturgical year which helped us live out our faith. I took these for granted as “normal.” I later learned that these traditions were unknown to many Catholics.

Christians have pondered variations of this question for centuries. God wills our ultimate happiness, that much is clear.

The church received a new heating and air conditioning system, new carpeting in the adoration chapel and main sanctuary, along with new paint on the altar, and a new roof for the church and rectory.

National Catholic Schools Week was celebrated Jan. 26 through Feb. 1 with the theme “Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed.”
