Mount St. Mary Seminary; Emmitsburg, MD
From an early age Timothy Kraemer attended kitchen table studies (i.e. homeschool) which he continued into high school as well as attending classes at a local community college and a private Catholic school. Starting in late middle school, he thought he might be called to the religious life or priesthood. He spent a lot of time attending different Catholic camps, retreats, and conferences in the area. Ultimately, he felt it best to attend college at Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas. During college he continued to search for God’s will through dating and visiting religious orders. After graduating with degrees in mass communications, philosophy and an MBA, he went to work for an audio-visual company. While he enjoyed work, he noticed that every year he went through a cycle of deciding whether to stay or leave his job. Through knocking on several “doors” and laying out “fleeces” he reconsidered diocesan priesthood as the call was still present. He contacted the vocation director and applied to be a seminarian. Timothy is currently in his final year of formation for the priesthood at Mount St. Mary Seminary in Emmitsburg, MD.
