The Young Disciples Apostolate
…And how could they know if they have not heard. And how could they hear unless someone told them. (Romans 10:14)
Mission
Established in summer 2001, young adults have
come from 27 different states (including CA, CT, IA, ID, IL, LA, KT,MA,MI, MN,
MO, MD, MS, MT, NC, ND, NJ, NM, NY, OH, OR, PA, SD, SC, TX, WI, WY) and the
countries of Mexico and Slovakia. They have conducted over a hundred day camps
and a similar number of teen missions and adults nights, reaching thousands of
people with the Good News of Jesus Christ. Team members often continue their
apostolic work by being catechists, campus ministers, youth ministers, DRE’s and
parents. Some also pursue religious vocations or the priesthood. Similar to other Catholic internships, we need
people who love Jesus and His Church, AND are at least 18 years old. Applicants
should desire to witness to elementary age students (although there will be some
family, adult, and teen ministry) and be available for
10 WEEKS NEXT SUMMER, May 15-July 29, 2007. Team members will be on
break from 9 p.m. June 27 to 3 p.m. July 4. You may send us an email to request
an application. The deadline for applicants is April 10, 2008. Be sure to
include your name, address, and telephone number in your email so that we can
get back to you right away! To invite Young Disciples to your parish, send an
email to
youngdisciples@fargodiocese.org. Or call 701-356-7900 and ask for Mary
Hanbury or Stella. Be sure to include your name, the name of your parish, and
