DIOCESAN PRIESTHOOD

A diocesan priest works hard and prays hard as he serves the people of God, the Church.  To learn more about what it means to be a priest, click on The Priest.

We invite you to get to know our current seminarians and to include them in your prayers.  The Diocese of Fargo has a minor seminary, Cardinal Muench Seminary, in Fargo.  Our seminarians attending major seminaries are currently studying at Mount St. Mary's Seminary in Emmitsburg, Maryland, and at St. John Vianney Seminary in Denver, Colorado.

Check formation programs for information about the education and formation programs provided through the seminary system that prepare a man for the duties and life of a priest.

For a quick overview of the requirements and application procedures for potential seminarians, read this section.

Sometimes the best way to discern a vocation to the priesthood is by spending time with priests.  You can do so by participating in our events for potential seminarians.
