Rachel’s Vineyard Retreat

A word from Pope John Paul II to those suffering because of abortion:  “Do not give in to discouragement and do not lose hope… The Father of mercies is ready to give you his forgiveness and peace in the Sacrament of Reconciliation.”

If you, or someone you know, has suffered from the physical, emotional, and spiritual effects of a past abortion, there is hope for healing. Rachel’s Vineyard offers a safe, non-judgmental and confidential weekend retreat for anyone; women, men, grandparents and siblings who struggle with the feelings of loss that can accompany an abortion experience. The weekend begins on a Friday night and concludes on Sunday afternoon. A Rachel's Vineyard Retreat is scheduled for March 30 – April 1, 2012 in Hankinson. For more information, or to register, please call Ruth Ruch at (701) 219-3941 or e-mail ruch@i29.net. All calls are confidential.

Out of the Darkness….Into the Light: Healing after abortion

A post-abortive panel shares their journey of hurt, pain, and grief to healing and hope

Who We Are:
We are a diverse group of women who would likely never have connected with one another….except for something we all share.  Each one of us has walked through the doors of an abortion facility and ended the life of our unborn child.
Our Desire:
Our desire is to share the truth, in hopes that those who hear will be better equipped to reach out to others who are struggling with a current choice or a past decision concerning the issue of life. We don’t want to condemn, criminalize or even debate anyone. We merely want to share our stories and personal encounters with loss and redemption. The act of abortion that we thought was going to solve a 'problem' started us down a long path of self-destructive behavior, emotional distress and spiritual confusion. While each of us has a unique story, we chose to weave our stories together, sharing a side of abortion that is rarely heard in public.
How to Contact us:
The panel has presented in North Dakota and Minnesota and to various audiences. If you are interested in bringing the panel to your area please contact either Jody Clemens at 701-367-7362 or email Jody at jodyclem@hotmail.com or contact Kay Kiefer at 701-793-1044 or email Kay at
