Up ENDOW Adult Programs

Adult programs, Retreats & Bible Studies

ENDOW (for women) is an education program that brings women together to discover their God-given dignity and to understand their role in humanizing and transforming society. As a basis for discovery, ENDOW promotes the New Feminism, which is defined by Pope John Paul II. The New Feminism recognizes and affirms the “true genius of women” and responds to our culture’s desperate need for an authentic feminine presence in every aspect of life and society.

That Man Is You! (for men) is transforming men, families and society as it presents the vision of man fully alive! Combining the teachings of the Church and wisdom of the saints with the best research from modern science in an interactive, multimedia format, That Man Is You! puts this vision within the grasp of every man.

Education for Parish Services (EPS Classes) offers lay Catholics a 2 year adult formation program of excellent courses in scripture and theology, together with practical instruction for communicating the faith and serving others. Simply put, EPS equips lay women and men to teach the faith, serve apostolic works within their parish, and serve the community.

RCIA: Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process of initiation for persons desiring to become Catholic Christians.

For Inactive Catholics  Many people know someone who was baptized as a Catholic and is no longer practicing the Faith.  These inactive Catholics are our brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, parents, relatives and friends.

Theology on Tap Theology on Tap is a great opportunity for young Catholic adults to meet in a comfortable setting to explore our faith and how it affects our lives. http://www.theologyontap.com/

John Bosco Conference
Annually in Mid-July

Steubenville, Ohio (30 min west of Pittsburgh)

The Saint John Bosco Conference is both a Retreat and Catechist Training
Join Catholic school personnel, catechists, religious educators, DRE's, RCIA teams and youth ministers from around the diocese and country for five days of retreat and training.  Catechesis is all about bringing people into a relationship with Jesus and His Family, the Church.  At this year's Saint John Bosco Conference, we will explore how we can center everything we teach on Jesus Christ, "the leader and perfecter of faith."  Additional, we will offer more than 30 workshops in the following areas:  adult catechesis, sacramental preparation, family catechesis, youth ministry, Scripture and liturgy.  Participants can also choose from a variety of tracks for certification including:  Catechist Certification, Catechumenal Ministry Certification, Basic Youth Ministry Certification and Advanced Youth Ministry Certification.  This summer, join us as we fix our eyes on Jesus and discover who we are and where we are called to lead others through the apostolate of catechesis.
