Mission
The Catechesis Office is the means by which the Bishop of Fargo as shepherd of the community and teacher of the faith directs and moderates all the catechetical activities of the Diocese of Fargo.

 

Major Goals

bullet

To invigorate the clergy for their mission as catechists

bullet

To assist directors and coordinators of religious education

bullet

To establish an institute for evangelization/catechesis including:
- a team of master catechists
- catechist certification
- traveling workshops and courses

bullet

To support EPS (Education for Parish Services)

bullet

To emphasize the primacy of adult catechesis

bullet

To provide curriculum guidelines, including sacramental preparation

bullet

To provide individual parish consultation as requested

bullet

To hold an annual catechetical conference

bullet

To meet the need for summer religious education programs
