Your Participation helps fund Seminarian Education
and Youth Programs
Seminarian Education
There are two levels of seminary: College (or Minor) and Theology (or Major). In
Minor seminary, seminarians receive a college degree with prerequisite studies
in classes preparing them for Theology studies. In addition, they are provided
with spiritual formation as they discern priesthood. After obtaining a degree at
a minor seminary, seminarians spend four more years at a major seminary or
theologate in the United States or Europe. Minor seminarians receive a
scholarship from the Diocese of Fargo to assist with the additional costs of
attending a college that is also a minor seminary. Major seminarians have 100%
of their costs paid, which exceed $35,000 per year.
March for Life
Teenagers and young adults from the Diocese of Fargo participate in the annual
March for Life in Washington, DC,
as a way to promote the dignity of all human life. The event is held each
January, to coincide with the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court
decision.
Youth Camps
Trinity Youth Camps in Bottineau and Binford, ND, bring Catholic
children together to enkindle their faith. They are formed in the faith and encouraged to further unfold the
mystery of God. Swimming, crafts, game time, campfires, spiritual
direction, sacraments, and Mass are activities available at the
five-day camp.
SEARCH
Search for Christian Maturity is a weekend formation
opportunity. Search assists young adults on their journey to discover God,
ourselves, and the Christian community. Young people learn and
experience a closer relationship with God and with others.
Friendship, fun, and the Eucharist unite the participants.
MI Youth Camp
The MI Youth Camp
is for students ages 13-17. It promotes the spirituality and teachings of St.
Maximilian Kolbe. This camp helps students build their Catholic identity and
helps them learn to evangelize their faith!
