2010 Events Feb. 7 (Sunday): The Boy Scouts of America is celebrating 100 years of service. Holy Spirit scouts (Cubs, Scouts and Venture Crew) will be hosting the fellowship after all Sunday Masses at Holy Spirit Church, 1420 Seventh St. N., Fargo, in honor of Scout Sunday. All scouts are invited to wear their uniforms to church and join in celebrating the 100th Birthday of Scouting! Feb. 7 (Sunday): St. Maurice's Catholic Church, 5313 165th Ave. S.E., Kindred, invites you to their Winter Carnival (formerly the Fall Boutique) on Sunday, Feb. 7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will feature a free-will offering lunch of homemade soups, sandwiches and desserts. In addition, there will be a bake sale, basket silent auction and raffle. Notable items on the raffle include a 5.5 HP True Value Snow Blower, 37” Flat Screen TV and Nintendo Wii. Feb. 13 (Saturday): Holy Spirit Church in Fargo invites you to their Valentine Wine & Dine. Featuring a Champagne Social Hour & Hors'dourves, Four Course Dinner each paired with wine, Silent Auction, Games/Door Prizes, and Dance. Tickets are $40/person or $300/table of eight. Feb. 14 (Sunday): St. John's Church in Wahpeton will host their Mardi Gras Celebration on Sunday, February 14 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Eagles Club in Wahpeton. The celebration features a Dinner, Theme Basket Silent Auction, Beanie Baby/Cake Walk, Raffle, Bingo, Carnival Games and Bake Sale. Everyone is welcome. Feb. 14 (Sunday): The St. Alphonsus CYO is hosting a Valentine Day Supper on Sunday, Feb 14 at 6 p.m. in the parish cafeteria, 1010 Third St., Langdon. Tickets are available for purchase through Feb. 7. Proceeds from this fund raiser will help support the CYO bus trip to the Steubenville Youth Conference, hosted at Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio, July 16-18. Anne & Joachim, 5205 25th St. S., Fargo, will present a Parish Mission entitled "Eyes to See and Ears to Hear: Growing in a Lived Experience of the Presence, Power and Love of God." The mission is led by Father Scott Traynor, Diocese of Sioux Falls. It begins each night with a holy hour at 7 p.m., next his mission talk followed by adoration. Lady of Peace, 846 Fifth St. S.E., Mayville, will host Father McCaffrey for a
parish mission from March 13-17. Talks will be held in the evenings. Time is yet

701-788-3234. March 27 (Saturday): Mark your calendar for the Ninth Annual Pro-Life Quilting event to happen on Saturday, March 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the St. Catherine Church Basement, 540 3rd. Ave. NE, Valley City. All quilters and non-quilters are welcome as there are tasks for all to do. No experience is necessary; we will teach and train anyone and everyone. Free fabric kits and lunch will be provided. Pre-registration is necessary so we know how many lunches and kits to prepare. Registration deadline is March 22.
