Glory be to our Father, sing praises to Him, in all things, at all times!! This isn't always the easiest thing for me to do, but if I would do just that with everything it could get easier and very possibly there would not be a day that I would allow to go by without singing praises to our Father.

I read that all prayer should always begin with praising God. It goes on to say that praise put us in the right relationship with God. By Praising Him, we submit to Him, He is master and we are His servants.
When things are going good, and everything is going as I want it to, I find it very easy to sing praises, but during the difficult and trying times I find that the last thing I want to do is praise God. Some days even prayer can be difficult. Those are the days that I know I need to praise His name, but I don't always do that. This little reading can and is giving me much to think on and hopefully it will help to make me more aware of my need to sing praises to God. Each day should always begin with praise and thanksgiving!! I think that we should all do just that. It could make a huge difference on how we treat others, how we treat ourselves. So the next time everything goes just the way you don't want it to, sing praises, and maybe just maybe if we open our hearts to Him, and allow Him to love us, our bad day will become our best day!!

(As an aside to Colleen's comments above I would like to share an experience that I had while I was in Africa. I would attend Mass every morning and I would see the people come from miles around, some walking for hours to come to daily Mass. They would arrive in the best clothes that they had, even if it was just rags and bare feet. They would sing praises to God for how great He is. I wondered how these people, who had nothing, have been oppressed for years and live in mud shacks could possibly be praising God. It is the purest form of Praise that I have ever experienced. It is Praise with no strings attached. Praise to God because He is so awesome, not because of all the things we have, but because He has given us life and because He IS!!!!!)
