SPONSORING COUPLE TRAINING
Sponsoring Couple training is for couples who assist priests in preparing
couples for the sacrament of marriage. The training is grounded in the
Foccus Pre-marriage inventory with follow-up visits between the sponsor
couple and the those preparing for marriage.
Training is facilitated by Deacon Ed and Deb Didier. Contact

To become a Sponsor Couple:
 | Couples are to take and review the REFOCCUS with you
before attending the session. This is for the benefit of the couple and to
increase your knowledge of the couple you will be working with. They do not
bring the inventory to the training. Both spouses are required to attend the
entire training session. (Friday & Sat.) |
| Pre-Registration
Couples need to be pre-registered by February 16. An informational letter is
sent by us to each couple prior to the training. |

| Parish will be billed by the Family Life Office
Fee for training: $50.00 per couple. Fee for training and Friday night
lodging at CMS: $60.00 per couple. Both include the FOCCUS manual and
handout materials. |

preparation programs

Listening skills: Attending Skills, Open Questions, Paraphrase, Reflection of
Feelings & Summarization

Saturday 9 am – 5 pm

Warm up activity: “Working Together as a Couple”
